Ok I posted my resume on monster, hotjob, etc on Friday. Yesterday, I get a call from some company's HR and asked me to call them back. I'll call them and come to find out, their company is in the SAME FUCKEN BUILDING my current company is in. I'm in suite 400 they are in suite 101. WHAT THE FUCK ARE THE CHANCES OF THAT SHIT!

My biggest dilemna is do I even consider the interview. Might I remind you, I wear jeans to work and they need to come in with a suit. If I wear a suit to my current job, they'll gonna know whats up. They want me to come in for an interview asap but I told them I have to think about this shit. What makes it more interesting is I posted my salary desired and the HR said that starting pay for my position is alot higher than what I'm asking for. SO WHAT THE FUCK DO I DO!!! I also have interviews at other places so this aint my only option but shit.

alot more pay. Go interview. no brainer. So what if your job now knows you are interviewing. that is usually advantageous.

Bring a change of clothes? Schedule the interview before work or after you get off. It should minimize the issues

Or tell your boss you have to leave early/come in late to attend a funeral. Explains the absence and the suit at the same time.

Hide a suit in the 2nd floor bathroom and go at lunch...Or just take a vacation day. OR say you've got a hot date after

Either way, just have nice shoes.

Nobody cares about the suit these days, it's all about the damn shoes.

Tell the people you are intervewing with about your situation and tell them to advise you

See if you can interview somewhere else or if they mind you come in regular cloths. Tell them you don't want to risk your current position.

Wrong. If suits are being worn by the perspective employers then you have no chance of getting the job if you don't suit up.

Explain your situation to them and ask for an interview offsite or after hours. The person interviewing you should appreciate your candor and respect your desire not to be put in an awkward situation.

It is a dog eat dog business world out there, where people change jobs frequently. The situation isn't all that unusual. Go on your interview in your suit like a normal person and don't worry about what anyone else thinks. Do you think you are the only guy in your building trying to find a better job?

You have got to be the biggest spineless puss on the face of this earth. Grow some balls. If someone asks why you are wearing a suit, tell em its none of the fukin business. :bigfinger
